Meet Macy, a very affectionate chesapeake bay retriever. She is around 10-14 months old, but probably about full size at a nice 60 lbs. She is still a little puppy-ish but is learning fast and eager to please. She is currently living with a foster brother black lab and foster sister cat and although she gets along with each, her foster mom feels she would do better being the only dog in the family.
Macy is a good walker and is socializing pretty well. She is still a little shy at first and will bark at strangers and sometimes other dogs, but warms up pretty fast with a few treats. Macy still needs supervision too, but she has been getting familiar with spending time in her crate without complaining.
Recently she went swimming, possibly for the first time, and proved to be a natural like her breed is known for. She plays nice and sleeps through the night too. and, she likes to curl up on your feet or even lap if you let her. With a little training and love, Macy will definitely be your best friend.
